Donald Trump’s statement on his executive order temporarily halting taxpayer-funded refugee importation:
This is not about religion – this is about terror and keeping our country safe. There are over 40 different countries worldwide that are majority Muslim that are not affected by this order. We will again be issuing visas to all countries once we are sure we have reviewed and implemented the most secure policies over the next 90 days.
Literally Hitler, right?
I openly question the motives of people upset over a temporarily halt to the importation of refugees from a select number of counties in order to ensure those people won’t commit terrorist acts over here – these are the same people who will call for a greater police/surveillance state and gun control if any refugee should happen to do so.
This isn’t about ending refugee resettlement in the U.S. If anything, Trump is taking a moderate position. He’s saying it should be done properly.
This just goes to show how narrow the 3×5 index card of allowable opinion is on this issue. Either you let these people in, right now, no questions asked whatsoever, or you’re causing another Holocaust. That these same people say nothing of U.S. military involvement in these countries and thus have no desire to see the flow of refugees end, smacks of ulterior motives through and through.
Let’s speak freely; there are people in this country who want “refugees” to come in here come hell or high water, so they can use them as tools to push for a larger, more intrusive state in one way or another, whether it’s getting more people hooked on welfare or using terrorist acts to justify groping old grannies at airports.
