The Leftist Imperative

The keeper of the Anarchist Notebook would like to bring your attention to a particular maxim found among its pages, which will most likely prove useful as you venture out into the vile world of political chaos.

(opens book, blows thick dust off page)

A fundamental goal of the Progressive Left is to undermine the freedom of association for any organization that isn’t expressly left-wing while maximizing the freedom of association for any organization that is expressly left-wing.

(closes book, places back on podium)

It’s the only way you’ll understand the Left’s idea of The Vision™ in which Christian dating sites can be forced to accommodate gays, but Twitter can permanently ban gays from their site.

That is all, for now.

  1. I like what you’ve said here and I will mediate on it. It was very clear to me several years ago that the Left was not interested in helping gays, just the same way it is not interested in helping women. It was about enforcing the ideology.

They’re interested in helping women and gays insofar as it serves the Left’s objective, but once they become liabilities or their interests conflict with higher objectives, they’re expendable. We saw this dynamic play out after the Orlando shooting and especially with the rise of Milo Yiannopoulos. Islamists are higher up on the Left’s list of priorities than gays.
