Join the Grand Old Party

One of my guilty leisurely pleasures is taking song lyrics and rewriting them, especially for politics. Even though I don’t actually sing the revised songs or make them into a video, I thought I would post the lyrics for other’s enjoyment. I’ll be adding others in the future if it proves popular enough.

Enjoy a libertarian-style sing-along-song. Just follow the bouncing……..whatever.

This song “Join the Grand Old Party” is based on an Irish folk song “Join the British Army,” sung below by Dubliners’ Luke Kelly.  You can play the song if you want to hear the melody to go with the words.

When I was young, I used to be as anti-state as any you’d see, ’til the younger Bush, he said to me, “Come and join the Grand Old Party.”

Too-ra loo-ra loo-ra loo, They’re lookin’ for new young WASPS to abuse, to vote just like the “respectable” do, all for the Grand Old Party.

The RINOS whine their base is hate, ’cause they can’t resist the racial bait; so they prostrate themselves at Marxist feet, then pretend they’re Joe McCarthy

Too-ra loo-ra loo-ra loo, I’ve made me mind up what to do; no, I won’t be voting no more for you, So *pfft* the Grand Old Party.

The Vichy cucks will play the game and buy into the Leftist claims, and then dare to tell us for our race that we should all be sorry.

Too-ra loo-ra loo-ra loo, God’s curse upon the quislings who destroy my lovely homeland to help the Grand Old Party.

The National Review will cleanse the Right. Just give them a couple of strawmen to fight, and they’ll expel those bigots before tonight, and save the Grand Old Party.

Too-ra loo-ra loo-ra loo, I’ve made me mind up what to do; no I won’t be voting no more for you, so *pfft* the Grand Old Party.
